Performance in the service of photovoltaic yield
The Rider is the latest cleaning robot developed by AX Solar Robot, a French specialist in robotic solutions for photovoltaic power plants since 2020. Designed for cleaning rooftop solar panels, it combines lightness, efficiency, and ease of use.
Regularly cleaning your solar panels is essential: dirt, dust, or bird droppings reduce efficiency by up to 10% per year. On average, this represents a loss of €4 to €7 per panel per year for a standard installation. The Rider offers a quick and cost-effective solution to this problem.
Increased modularity, disassembles without tools in 2 minutes
Exclusive patented technology for a suction effect up to 28°/53% tilt*

| Model | Weight | Brush Sizes | Battery Life | Maximum Slope | Our Recommendation | Manufacture |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| RIDER M | 85 to 105 kg (depending on options) | 110 cm or 130 cm | ≈ 2 h | 20–25° (rubber/leather) | For professional cleaners, heavy-duty use (+200,000 m²/year) | Germany |
| RIDER FR | 65 kg | 130 cm | 3 hours | 28° (rubber) | Middle-of-the-range, good weight/performance compromise | France |
| RIDER S | 55 kg | 80 cm | 1.5–2.5 hours | 15–20° (rubber/leather) | For small installations, gentle slopes | Germany |
The Rider stands out as the lightest robot on the market, capable of working at slopes up to 28°. Weighing less than 66 kg, it can be transported and operated by a single person, without any tools.
It can be assembled in less than two minutes.
Equipped with natural rubber-coated tracks and a 110 cm self-supporting brush system, it efficiently cleans up to 1,000 m² per hour, even on slopes up to 25° (47%). Its forward speed reaches 2 km/h, ensuring optimal productivity on all types of surfaces.
