pvXchange has published wholesale price indices for solar modules, broken down by product range (low-end, mid-range, and high-end). The price includes transport costs for the panels and customs duties for the European market.

The indices show prices stabilizing for the low and high ends of the market, while the mid-range continues to fall, with a price of $0.12/Wp at the end of June 2024.

It should be noted that over the last few months, the average decline in wholesale prices for solar panels has been 49%.

The distinction between the ranges is based on several criteria, including overall product quality, the associated warranty, and the panels’ efficiency.

High-end panels are distinguished by an efficiency of over 21%.
